Eva Colandrea, age 96, passed away peacefully during a nap in her chair on Monday, May 18th
in Northeastern Pennsylvania. Eva was born on September 24, 1923 in Perth Amboy, New
Jersey to Mary Mangiacasale and her husband Thomas. Soon after, she moved to Staten Island,
New York, where she lived most of her life. She was the wife of a World War II veteran, a
homemaker, and a hospital volunteer. Eva loved family, friends, God and the church, bowling,
cooking for her family, and meeting new people. She was incredibly loving, generous, friendly,
and funny. She was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, John A. Colandrea, and all
eight of her brothers and sisters. She is survived by her daughter Cheryl Martin; son John J.
Colandrea and his wife Madeline; grandchildren Dawn, Gina, Scott, and Gary; greatgrandchildren Anthony, Joseph, Carissa, Christina, Michael, Abigail, Nate, and Jack; and many
nephews, nieces, and other close family and friends. She loved and was loved. We will miss her
dearly. Eva will be celebrated at a private gathering of immediate family.
