Stephen DeMarco

Aunt Flo gave us many beautiful memories with our Sunday rendezvous at our Grandparents’ DeMarco apt. on Beach Ave. (in those days it was a sign of respect), which for her was no easy task coming from a Brooklyn! She was a classy, forward thinking woman not afraid to drive anywhere in the city always dressed up to fit the occasion. Then , we enjoyed Easter holidays there as a child...with Aunt Rose doing Christmas... meeting up with our cousins to enjoy each other’s company from time to time. My Aunt Flo and Uncle George (with that glimmer in his eye and cigar) seemed to love those lovely gatherings. I got to get my first exposure to some of the Polish food favorites. It didn’t surprise me that my Aunt Flo lived to be a centenarian plus by the likable steadfast, tough demeanor she displayed at all times ready to take on life at all costs. She was just great. We will miss her.
