Obituary

Obituary for George Lotito

George Lotito was born on October 30, 1936 in Brooklyn, New York to parents Gudrun and Robert. He was the 6th born of 16 children. George began working at the early age of 10, shining shoes and selling newspapers, to help provide and support his siblings. George met his high school sweetheart Marie, when she was 16. He pushed his draft and went to serve in Korea after the war during a police state. When he came home from Korea, he began a career of 39 years working for Con Edison. In 1959, he married his high school sweetheart and began a family. Together, George and his wife raised 5 sons on Staten Island. George loved to travel with friends and family. George visited destinations near and far including summer vacations to Lake George with his wife and sons, hunting in Upstate New York, Alaska, Hawaii, California, Canadian Rockies, Florida, England, Italy, Switzerland, and National Parks throughout the United States. George was known for his impressionistic attitude leaving it hard to forget him whether you knew him for years or only met him once. George was a great husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, provider and friend. Everyone who knew George, loved him, and he will truly be missed by all. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Marie Lotito, his 5 sons, George, David, Mark, Craig, and Anthony, his 3 daughter in laws, Lori, Sara, and Gina, his 15 grandchildren, and his 7 great grandchildren.
