Obituary

Obituary for Joseph Carmine Casucci

Joseph Carmine Casucci Obituary

Joe was born on Staten Island at the “old” Staten Island Hospital, Monday, November 7, 1955.

He passed peacefully into heaven Wednesday, January 22, 2020 after a long and difficult battle with colon cancer.

From his childhood, Joe was always a kind soul and known for his sense of humor and light heartedness. He had a special way of making all with whom he came in contact feel special.

Joe worked many jobs through the years with a focus on sales. Wherever he worked, he was well-liked and loved by fellow employees and customers alike. He was a hard worker, known for his “sticktuitveness”.

Among his hobbies were writing screenplays and performing as a stand-up comic.

Some seven years ago, Joe came to know Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior, was born-again and attended church regularly.

The world and our family lost one of the kindest, sweetest, good-hearted men one could ever hope to meet.

Surviving Joe, is his beloved mother Jean; his brothers, Steven, Daniel and Lawrence Casucci; his sister, AnnMarie and her husband Rev. Timothy Mercaldo ; sister, Jeanette and her husband Eric Rasmussen; his two nephews and four nieces.

Joe’s beloved father, Joseph A. Casucci passed into eternity July 2010 and his sister-in-law, Nancy Casucci, Daniel’s wife, in August 2019.

He will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
