Obituary for Milena Riccardi

Milena Riccardi was a beloved wife, mother and nonna. Milena Riccardi was born Milena Lorello on July 6, 1933 in Itri, Latina, Italy, to Giuseppe Lorello and Amalia DelBove. She worked as a seamstress before marrying Francesco (Frank) Riccardi on March 18, 1961. After a honeymoon in Venice, Italy, they relocated to Staten Island, NY. She continued working as a seamstress until Frank and Milena opened Riccardi’s Deli together In Richmondtown in 1963. Milena worked alongside her husband to build a reputable business which became a neighborhood staple until Frank retired in September 2001.
Milena had 5 children, Francesco Jr, AnnaLisa (deceased), Lisa (Vaccaro), Tiziana (Russo) and Stefania (Fieramosca). After retiring from the family business, Milena stayed home to care for her children and their home. Milena was blessed with 9 grandchildren, John Riccardi, Amanda Vaccaro, Frank Riccardi, Milena Russo, Stefania Vaccaro, Christopher Fieramosca, Lianna Vaccaro, Amelia Riccardi and Nicholas Fieramosca. She had 1 great grandchild Nicholas Legakis. She is also survived by her children’s spouses, Joseph Vaccaro, Michele (Ingargiola), Thomas Russo and Christopher Fieramosca.

Loved ones welcoming Milena to heaven include her parents, 3 siblings, several aunts, uncles and in-laws and her daughter AnnaLisa.
