Obituary

Rose DeStefano (Nee Reale) passed away November 19 at the age of 96. She was born in Brooklyn on November 28, 1923 and lived her entire life there. Rose was the devoted wife of the late Joseph T. DeStefano. A beloved mother to Thomas (Gloria) and Joseph (Ann Marie), she taught them to enjoy life every day.

Rose was the cherished Grandmother of Thomas (Melissa), Michele (Joe Carpino), Joey (Clorise), Danielle, Lauren and Elizabeth DeStefano. A devoted Great-Grandmother of 11 and Great, Great Grandmother of 3.

A loving Aunt with many nieces and nephews, Rose will remain a bright light in their eyes. The creator of many special memories, she will live on in their hearts. She was predeceased by 6 brothers and sisters.

Rose retired several years ago from the NYC Department of Education as a Family Assistant to spend more time with her family.

A member of Our lady of Grace Church for over 85 years, she instilled in everyone's heart to remain focused on making even a small difference in the world.

Services will be held on Monday, November 23, from 4pm to 8pm at the Colonial Funeral Home, Hylan Boulevard, Staten Island.

Mass of Christian Burial on Tuesday, Nov 24, 9:45 am at Our Lady of Grace Church, 430 Avenue W, Brooklyn. Interment to follow at Greenwood Cemetery, 500 25th Street, Brooklyn.
