Simone (Sammy) Esposito, 92, passed away on November 15, 2020
A Korean War veteran, who was born and lived in downtown Brooklyn, then later moved to Staten Island and resided in South Beach for over 75 years. Simone worked in construction as a mason in his early years and later retiring from the NYC Dept. of Sanitation. After retiring, he worked for Tranchina Mason Supply as a boom truck driver. Rose and Sam’s hearts were destroyed at the loss of their son Michael, a captain with the FDNY, who was lost on 9/11. They were a big part, in the care of Angel Circle.
Survived by 16 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. Sam had 5 sisters and 2 brothers, Pat, Mike, Bibi, Mary, Rose, Kathrine and Josephine.
Memories of the good times had on a block in South Beach called Kensington Ave. The families that forged friendships, that will last forever. He enjoyed having everyone together for parties and was a good dancer. Simone and Rose enjoyed their house in the Pocono’s as their sons were growing up.
