Obituary for Teresa Smonig

Teresa Smonig 92, of Morristown, NJ passed away on April 29, 2020. Teresa was born in Staten Island, NY before relocating to Morristown in 1970.
Prior to her retirement Teresa worked at Honeywell Industries. She loved to travel, read and volunteer. She volunteered with numerous organizations in Morristown, NJ. Always giving back to her community.
She is predeceased by her loving husband, John “Vinny” Smonig, her parents, Mary DeRosa and James Pucciarelli, her brother, Joseph Pucciarelli, James Pucciarelli, her sisters, Frances Reilly and Rosemary Earley. Teresa is survived by her brother, Anthony Pucciarelli and his wife, Carrie her sister Kathyrn Arcolio and her husband John, and her sister Mary DeRosa.
Teresa leaves behind 5 nephews. Joseph Pucciarelli Jr., Thomas Reilly, Joseph Pucciarelli, David Earley and Paul Earley along with their families, great nieces and nephews as well as many dear friends.
In lieu of flowers, a contribution can be made in Teresa’s memory to the Interfaith Food Pantry, 2 Executive Drive, Morris Plains, NJ 07950.

So very sorry to hear about Terry. As it happens I was sorting through some boxes of old files from the Pantry this past weekend and came upon a packet of photos. There was Terry at one of our IFP Volunteer Recognition Ceremonies getting one of her service awards. Brought back such find memories. So very glad to have had the opportunity to work with Terry for so long. Truly a special lady and was much missed by us all when she retired from volunteering. Please know she will be fondly remembered and you all are in my thoughts and Prayers.
