Richie Corelli

He was generous; a provider. He was the kind of guy that put his loved-ones before anything else. Like most of my family, he was loud. He’d sit bent forward, elbows-out, the palms of his hands resting on his knees. He’d be yelling lines that should have been spoken. As a kid, I would have been intimidated by this if not for his warmth, if not for that smile dashing across his face. He was funny. He was a raconteur. He’d share stories with animated detail, leaving his audience laughing and enthralled.

He was a lot of things. But to me, he was Uncle Vinny.

Rest in peace.

Dear Michele,
I am so sorry for your loss, your wonderful Vinny. I remember how much he loved my little Maltese, Harry. He was so happy to see him when I adopted him and visited with you both. He could not stop grinning. I also remember the last time I visited you both and I was saying goodbye. He pointed to his cheek and I gave him a big kiss. I will always remember how happy and kind he was. So glad I was able to see him. He will be so missed. I love you both so much.

Dear Michelle:
There is nothing that I can say that will erase your loss or ease your pain. I can only remind you that your own warm and caring personality must and will get you through the worst of this and give you time for the long term healing. Please know that those who know and like and respect you offer their prayers and whatever support you might need. Never fail to call if you need anything, even just an ear to scream into, just because the proposed recipient is not the closest of friends or family. Sometimes those who are on the edges of our lives are the ones who can help when the worst is upon us. I am so very sorry.
